About Us

Based in Scotland our two centres specialise in the provision of unique, independent and specialist contact centre and fulfilment services to the smartcard and public transport industries, primarily within the UK.

We occupy  high quality technology office accommodation in the Laurencekirk Business Park, Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire AB30 1EY. The area comprises two contact centres, two fulfillment areas, a large warehouse, a training centre and support offices. Our second site is situated in the Brechin Business Park, West Road, Brechin, DD9 6RJ. Our current call handling capacity is around 12000 calls per day and we have room for expansion at both sites.

Journeycall's client group comprises high profile public and private sector organisations including Transport for London, ATOC, Stagecoach Group, Go-Ahead Group and Chiltern Railways. We also own and operate Train and Bus Enquiries.

Our friendly UK based advisors are highly trained, professional and motivated. They provide precise information to customers by phone, email and post ensuring that at all times, the highest quality of customer care is delivered. Our fulfillment team issues and distributes tickets, travelcards, smartcards and other items in accordance with stringent quality control. We are accredited to ISO9001 : 2000 standards.

In January 2009 ESP Systex, the UK's leading provider of bureau services for smartcard schemes, acquired a major shareholding in Journeycall Ltd. The combined expertise of Journeycall and ESP brings a unique joint service to the market, providing complete Card Lifecycle Management. Customer service is at the heart of our business and we are committed to delivering high quality products that combine performance with value pricing while establishing a successful relationship with our clients and their customers.

2010 was a very successful year for Journeycall, culminating in it winning the Best Small Contact Centre in Europe award at the European Call Centre Awards.  Further success for Journeycall came with it being selected as "One to Watch" in the 2012 Sunday Times Best Companies employee engagement survey.  2012 has also seen Journeycall winning the National Railcards online issuing contract, building on its success with management of the Disabled Persons Railcard.
